About Us

The Steamboat Lake Water and Sanitation District is a Special District operating under the rules and regulations of the State of Colorado. We are required to hold public meetings, have our budgets approved by the State, and maintain a rigorous water testing program monitored by the State. The results of our water testing are published annually and posted to this website at the Water Quality Reports section.

We have a Board of Directors consisting of five members, all of whom serve for a two or four year term, set up so that not all member terms expire at the same time. The State requires us to hold an election every two years; if there is only one person running for a position, the election can be cancelled. This has always been the case in the history of our Board, as these are volunteer positions and it is not easy keeping positions filled! As an incentive to Board Directors, $400 is waived annually from the established service fees.

The responsibilities of the District concern water and wastewater facilities and services. For all other issues in our subdivision, contact the Willow Creek Pass Village Association. Their website is www.wcpva.org.
